GREG BLAIR
ANSI Certified Instructor

About GREG
I have been an Instructor at Michigan Laborers Training and Apprenticeship Institute (MLTAI) for 20 years. In 2012, I attained the title of ANSI Accredited Instructors by completing the rigorous evaluation process conducted through the Laborers International Union of North America (LIUNA) training. To date, there have been almost 600 instructors participate in the accreditation process and I am proud to be one of the first 8 instructors to accomplish this goal. Prior to my tenure with the training fund, I earned a teaching degree in Biology and General Science from Ferris State University. Following some time spent in the public-school classroom, I began working as a construction laborer with experience in general construction and as an environmental specialist in the fields of asbestos abatement and hazardous waste remediation. As part of my goal to be a life-long-learner, I decided to pursue a master’s degree in Career and Technical Education Training and Development from my alma mater, Ferris State, and will receive my degree in December 2024.
